My one week taiwan trip!
Monday, July 21, 2008

So here goes my blog entry for my Taipei trip - 9th July to 15th July 2008! It was really a wonderful trip with great company! I will definitely go back again to explore the rest of Taiwan!

My Taipei tour

Day 1

Penny and I while waiting to board Jetstar Asia

The guys - Charlie, Daniel, Zhong Leong, Zhong Ming

Reached Tao Yuan International Airport and found this.
Newspapers dispenser machine! Cool!

Our dinner @ Modern Toilet restaurant

Venice bought these "shitty" straws back

Our chairs

Ahahaha~ We didn't lose our appetites!

We sang KTV till 3a.m. It's a tall building by itself.

Day 2

Their ezlink card

The gals @ Ximending station heading to Beitou station

Taiwanese follow their rules strictly. It's very orderly everywhere. Something that we Singaporeans can learn from them.

At Xinbeitong station

See that seats in darker shades of blue? They are priority seats meant for the needy people only. No matter how crowded the train is, you will never see a youngster seating on them. You won't see anyone eating sweets or drinking water on trains too.

@ Hot spring museum

Hahaha I think Charlie lost his balance

See how hot the weather was

The hotel we soaked ourselves in hot springs

This is a private hot spring pool. No clothes and towels allowed. An open- concept.

Hell valley - A very dangerous place.
Once, a tourist fell into the hot waters and was scalded to death.

See that thick smoke.. It is a Sulphur spring, all boiling waters.
I could barely breathe enough oxygen. The whole place is choked with sulphur smell and the rocks are stained with yellow sulphur.

One of my fav place! Danshui! A very windy place and great place to watch sunset!
I love this pic most!

I'm such a good photographer! So artistic! Wahaha!

I love the sea breeze over there!

Happy them!

That's Zhong Leong trying to pose for his picture. The uncle drew him younger. Haha!

Fisherman's Wharf

The famous Giant Ice Cream. Weather was so hot that they melted so damn fast.

Day 3

Xinyi District Area!

Again, I can't help but to praise my photography skill. Too good you see haha!
Zhong Leong and Taipei 101. The world's tallest tower, but soon to be taken over by the United Arab Emirates' Burj Dubai.

Inside Taipei 101 mall. All very high-end products.

Sze min, Venice and I with the Taipei 101 drawing

Our supper @ this Tou Huay stall. A very vandalised place.

Day 4

We went bai bai at Longshan Temple! A very famous temple!

Den we went Wufenpu (similar bugis street) and headed to Raohe night market. I love all their night markets. Food delicious and clothes all very cheap!

There's a long queue for the Pepper Biscuit. A must-eat item in Raohe!

Yummy!

Their tou hua are soooo smooth!

My pretty friends!

Day 5

At tu-tu train heading to Jiu Fen to buy local products

Venice enjoying her fried durian!

The long potatoes chips!

There's alot upslopes and downslopes.

Nice view up @ Jiu Fen (similar to Genting Highland)

Day 6

We headed to Miramar Entertainment Park. Middle-range products and we were only interested in its 15 mins Ferris Wheel ride

Night view taken from the little cubicle

Zhong Ming acting nasesous

Ferris Wheel

Sze Min and Venice look so cute while riding the fake horses @ the arcades

We went to Shilin Night market. The most famous night market in Taipei! Seriously love that place!

Sze Min and her HAO DA DA JI PA

Super nice! I had sore throat after eating it

There was a long long queue

Day 7

We decided to have our lunch at a nice Jap restaurant. Too much fried food during the trip. Did last min shopping till I forgot to buy instant noodles for my friends and almost missed the coach to airport.

The sky looked really beautiful...

Me and Mei Feng on the super uncomfortable plane ride.

P.S. This is not a very detailed entry. As I was typing this entry, all the images of us enjoying the food and scenaries raced through my mind. Somewhat or rather, I am feeling a bit sad now. I really enjoyed myself to the fullest during the trip. With great company, the trip seems almost perfect. I miss Taiwan and my friends alot!!!

Thank you guys=)))

days grow longer and as the time goes by, things are taking their change. may love remain no matter how the weather change. may love remain no matter how tough the life may be. may love remain no matter how cruel the reality is.
